Rosina Gertrude Baker - My Maternal Grandmother

Rosina Gertrude Baker born in 1904 in Islington London & was the eldest child of Phillip Baker & Rosina Baker.  Up until now I've not been able to find a Marriage Certificate for them.

1911 census shows Rosina living in Holborn/Clerkenwell London with her parents and two younger siblings.

She was Baptized at Saint Sila Church Pentonville London.

Rosina married my grandfather Thomas Clark Spafford  at Chelsea London in 1925.  They went on to have three girls.  Queenie,  Alice & Violet (My Mum)

My Grandfather Thomas Spafford divorce Rosina in 1937 & named A John Albert Vickers.

Rosina went on to marry Gerald Linton Peters.

This is the photo that I remember from my Auntie Queenie's house when I was a child.   Auntie Queenie believes it was taken before she was married to my Granddad in. 1925 she seems to have and engagement ring on.  I'm not to sure what she did for a living before she married at 21 but her clothes look very fine.  The photo was taken by Hellis & Sons,  London.  On the back is written in her hand To Dear Tom with love from Rose xxxxxx

Rosina was killed in th Blitz in 1942 in Taunton Somerset.
